- Positioning: The textured honeycomb protective cup should sit securely and centered over the lowest part of the hind fetlock to absorb impact during hard sliding stops.
- Strap Tension: Tighten the straps evenly. You should comfortably slide one finger between the leather strap and the horse’s leg.
- Check the Fit: If it is too loose, dirt and arena grit can slide inside and cause painful skin abrasions. If it is buckled too tightly, it can constrict the tendons.
